Chicago (ORD) to Toronto (YYZ) flight and airport guide

Before your flight from Chicago

Start with Chicago O'Hare International. Find the terminal shown in your airline booking and confirm the check-in and baggage drop cut-off for your ticket. Even when your flight involves a connection, use your operating airline rather than assuming the flight number identifies who will carry you.

Ground connections near departure: CTA Blue Line, Metra and airport transit system provide onward travel..

On arrival in Toronto

At Toronto Pearson International, follow your airline’s baggage and arrivals instructions. If you have checked luggage, allow time for baggage collection and any border procedures relevant to your citizenship and itinerary.

Local onward transport options: UP Express train links the airport to Union Station in Toronto..

Baggage allowance for this journey

Your baggage allowance depends on the ticket, cabin class, operating airline and, sometimes, the countries on the journey. A common or advertised allowance does not automatically apply to every fare. You can check available fare-specific policy details, then verify them with your airline before you pack.

Passports, entry rules and connecting flights

This journey involves airports in United States and Canada. Check the current passport, visa or electronic travel authorisation rules for your citizenship, transit points and booking before travel. If your journey includes separate tickets or connections, confirm who handles checked baggage and how much time you need between flights.

What if your flight is delayed or cancelled?

Flight disruption rights depend on the applicable territory, operating airline, delay at the final destination and the reason for the disruption. A live plane position does not establish whether a flight is officially on time.

For this route, start with the passenger rights framework relevant to United States. Keep the flight notification, booking details and receipts in case you need assistance or make a claim.
